Established in 1973, Documentation Boards Inc. is the original manufacturer of Coast Guard Approved Vessel Official Number Boards. We have sold more documentation boards than all our competitors combined!

Vessels 5 net tons or more are eligible for US Coast Guard documentation. The official number awarded to the vessel, preceded by the abbreviation "NO.", must be marked in block-type Arabic numerals at least three inches high on some clearly visible interior structural part of the hull. The number must be permanently affixed so that alteration, removal, or replacement would be obvious and cause some scarring or damage to the surrounding hull area. When properly installed, our boards meet all Coast Guard requirements.

We offer Starboard which is a solid marine grade polymer that will not splinter, swell, rot or delaminate when exposed to humidity or water and is impervious to grime, oil, and discoloration.
